Déjame

Interlude · Dialogue with poetry

This work emerges from a dialogue with the poem Déjame by Julie Sopetrán and unfolds within a phenomenological approach to the image: not as representation, but as lived experience. Musical terms from the poem—such as adagio and contralto—are translated into the body, understood as a perceptual space where silent, non-narrative emotional states take form. The images invite an inward gaze, a contained voice, and a light that accompanies rather than imposes. The body appears as a site of resonance rather than identity, activating a relationship between perception, emotion, and suspended time.Conceived as an open inquiry, Déjame proposes a shared space of attention and introspection, where image and text advance together toward a state of quiet presence.
